blast ye tiny peddlers of sweets!

Ahhh.....Girl Scout cookies. So good. Yet so short-lived.

The question: Would they be as good if they were available year-round? Methinks not. It makes them more valuable and delicious.

My problem is choosing between my two favorites - Tagalongs (chocolate and peanut butter) and of course Thin Mints. So I don't actually choose. I just hand over 8 bucks to some sports writer's adorable 8-year-old daughter.

What are your picks for the best Girl Scout cookies?

I'm right there with you with the Tagalongs and Thin Mints. (Do you freeze your Thin Mints? They ROCK when frozen.) Only I can't seem to find any Girl Scouts to buy them from. Isn't that weird? I'm in the friggin suburbs, after all. Shouldn't I have been accosted by tweens in knee socks several times by now?

No Way! Samoas are the best. And I agree a short stint in the freezer and then when they are just thawed a little it's like an ice cream cookie. Did you know that in Florida the cookies are not only more expensive but you can't get Tagalongs and Samoas? Instead you get peanut butter patties and caramel delights. Stupid Floridians.
