Newest Member of the Family

Meet Beverly. She's 7 months old and she is meant to keep Merriweather company. And chase her around so she loses weight.

I chose the name Beverly because it sounds like an old lady. One of my favorite names for a pet was Lazy Dan. What are some of the best pet names you've heard?

My cats are Pookins and Kiki.

My brother's cat is Shitty.

All in all, I think Beverly made out just fine.

My life has been filled with terrible pet names. My parents have had three pugs named Amos, Daisy and Tilly. One of my former roommates had a cat named Cleveland. And when I was in sixth grade I had a fish named Sparky, which is interesting considering where I went to school. (Sparky's companion was King Tut.)

That said, I don't think any of these names measure up to "Pookins."

My cat Xena (now renamed Chunky) had kittens one time, and the few names of them that I remember are:

"Roswell", "Mofo", and I believe "Esteban"

Also, I like the ironic names. I went to build-a-bear one time and made a bear then named it "Dog" b/c I thought it was funny.

And I think that beverly needs a surname.... or a hyphenation.....

"Beverly-Chaswick von Uptonshire!! Come get some ham!"

Think on that.
